Anemia Treatments

Pets with moderate to advanced renal disease are also often anemic. Left untreated, anemia causes fatigue and anorexia. When caught early, anemia can be often be treated with a vitamin B complex with iron such as Nutrived B Complex with Iron or Pet-Tinic. For more severe cases, Epogen, Procrit, or Aranesp in combination with B vitamins and iron may be required.
