Appetite Stimulants
Many pets with kidney disease become anorexic. Cyproheptadine (Periactin) is an antihistamine that is sometimes prescribed for one of it's side-effects, specifically to stimulate the appetite. Mirtazipine (Remeron) is another appetite stimulant that is often prescribed. If your pet has lost it's appetite, you may also want to look into an anti-nausea medication such as Ondansetron.
