IV Admin Sets

IV administration sets (often called IV Admin Sets or IV sets for short) are the tubing that connects a bag of fluid to the needle. ThrivingPets.com stocks 7 different IV sets and 1 IV extension set. All sets are designed for administering fluid (as opposed to medication); these sets are called macro drip sets.

Please note that 5 IV sets contains the chemical DEHP and 3 do not. DEHP is a chemical added to PVC bags to make the plastic more flexible that studies have linked to cancer. The FDA requires all medical products containing DEHP to disclose this fact on the packaging. The following IV sets do not contain DEHP- Hospira 12672-28, Hospira 12164-28, Braun V1501.
