Procrit is most often used to treat anemia associated with chronic renal/kidney failure. This treatment is typically recommended when the hematocrit (HCT) drops below 16. Procrit is often used in conjunction with iron supplementation to achieve the best results. Procrit needs to be stored in the refrigerator and shipped FedEx Overnight with cold packaging. Procrit orders will only be shipped Monday through Thursday because of the special shipping requirements.
