Description

Protopic (Tacrolimus) is a topical ointment most commonly used to treat severe atopic dermatits. Tacrolimus is an immunosuppressive drug that is mainly used after allogeneic organ transplant to reduce the activity of the patient's immune system and so lower the risk of organ rejection. Protopic should not be used for more than 6 weeks at a time according to the drug manufacturer.
