Description

Sulfadiazine/Pyrimethamine are complimentary drugs that are often used to treat equine protozoal myeloencephalitis (EPM, equine toxoplasmosis). Sulfadiazine/Pyrimethamine may be used as the primary treatment of EPM but more frequently newer drugs such as Marquis/Ponazuril or Navigator are used and Sulfadiazine/Pyrimethamine is used as a complimentary or follow-up therapy. ThrivingPets Sulfadiazine/Pyrimethamine Suspension is an oral formulation compounded in 250 mg/ml Sulfa and 12.5 mg/ml Pyrimethamine. The compound suspension has a 30-day expiration date.
